The base of wickerwork : the round basket

Full day course in our workshop 8:00 - 18:30 ( we share a potluck meal at lunch). You will learn how to make a round basket. The course includes a visit to the willow field and an explanation of all the steps the willow goes through before it is used to make baskets. All the materials and tools are provided.

Spiral hanging baskets
​
2-3 hour workshop adapted for schools and associations. This course is proposed as an introduction to basketmaking and willow, it offers young students the opportunity to experiment the material and grow their interest in the craft. Students will learn how to make small spiral baskets that can be used to hang plants.

Weekly workshops for schools

Creating. small basket : workshop for children
​
Over the period of 4 sessions (2 hours each), children learn how to make a round basket. Children get to experiment with the material, learn about an ancient craft and make a finished basket that they can later use. Making baskets improves manual skills, hand eye coordination and helps children develop their patience.
